Trends - Summer 2010
"Juxtaposition" - A beautiful contemporary architecture home designed by Ehrlich Architects features hidden audio video systems throughout, including a media room that switches between a 55" flat screen and a large, hidden motorized screen that descends from the ceiling. This project, located in Pacific Palisades, proves how early teamwork between architect and audio video designer leads to better aesthetics. The home features Crestron home automation & lighting controls.

"Gold Medal - Best Media Room / Family Room" for 2010! DSI is proud to win this award with a beautifully detailed Media Room in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara. A Runco 65" plasma TV serves up amazing picture quality, being fed by Blu-Ray, satellite receiver, and a Kaleidescape movie and music media server. Simple touchscreen control is offered with Crestron's TPS-8L wireless remote control using DSI's custom award-winning touchscreen interface. The touch panel controls the room's surround sound system, Vantage lighting controls, whole house music system, climate, CCTV, security, and pool/spa, too. A Beverly Hills custom audio video installation project was featured in the special magazine insert "The Integration Guide to Hidden Electronics". A custom motorized lift raises a large LCD TV right out of the wood floor of this home's Dining Room. When retracted, the home's amazing Los Angeles city view is retained. DSI Entertainment Systems is rated in the Top 20 again in the prestigious CE Pro Top 100 system integration firms in the country (for year 2009, our 11th year listed for this award). This year we moved up by one slot to #16! What skews some of the ratings are the fact that some of the companies listed are hybric retailers / custom integrators.
